Education is a major component of the Rouge River Bird Observatory’s mission. We are committed to educating the public about bird conservation. As one of the only urban bird research stations in the country, we have the unique opportunity to reach thousands of people through bird walks, banding demonstrations, and other programs.

Our on-site bird programs are administered by the staff of the Environmental Interpretive Center. For more information about our education programs or how to schedule a program for your class or group, please visit the Environmental Interpretive Center’s website.

RRBO’s Julie Craves may be available to provide a program about RRBO research for groups in the local area at their venues. Due to time and budget constraints, programs are restricted to organizations that have donated financial support to the Rouge River Bird Observatory. Contact us here.
